IDEX Biometrics, a provider of advanced fingerprint identification and authentication solutions, is making changes to its senior leadership team.

IDEX is also experiencing significant opportunity for technology innovation across multiple dimensions. To better reflect the technology development at IDEX and focus the organization accordingly, IDEX is making the following changes to the technology leadership:

Chief Technology Officer Fred Benkley will transition to a newly created role of Chief Innovation Officer effective 1 March 2019. In his new role Mr. Benkley will focus on strategic technology development to enable the next generation of best in class biometric products. This move demonstrates IDEX's commitment to continue to deliver innovative solutions to this emerging market.

VP of Systems Engineering, Anthony Eaton, will become Chief Technology Officer effective 1 March 2019. Mr Eaton's move into this role demonstrates the importance, and competitive advantage of a full systems approach in IDEX's technical development.

As part of the scaling of the company to support the multiple commercialization opportunities, IDEX has become a truly international company with most of its operations based in the US and UK. A significant proportion of IDEX's existing shareholders, and potential shareholders, are international and the company has announced that it's considering a listing on the London Stock Exchange or on Nasdaq.

Chief Financial Officer, Henrik Knudtzon, will step down as CFO effective 1 June 2019 and transition into an advisory role. IDEX is in the process of hiring a new CFO based in the US.

"I'm very proud of the strength of the team we have at IDEX, and the changes will ensure that we are fully prepared for the next phase of our commercialization journey. I would especially like to thank Henrik for his valuable contributions to IDEX for almost five years", said Stan Swearingen, CEO of IDEX Biometrics.
