UIDAI Launches ‘mAadhaar’ App

The Unique Identification Authority of India has launched an app for Android users.

The mAadhaar app is available only for Android phone users and can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

The body has said the main aim of creating this app is that people can carry their aadhaar card at any time and can produce it whenever required. The app can be installed on any Android phone running on Android 5.0 and up and a registered mobile number is mandatory requirement to sign-up.

UIDAI has also mentioned in a disclaimer saying that “the app is currently in beta mode which means that users may encounter bugs and issues. Some of the services will only be applicable after subsequent updates.”
