EAB launches Swedish Biometrics Forum

The European Association for Biometrics (EAB) plans to launch the first Swedish Biometrics Forum.

The EAB has said the aim is to bring together researchers, companies, agencies and other stakeholders for a one-day meeting in Halmstad, where invited speakers talk about their research or activities in the area, and there is also space for discussion about new ideas and challenges

The Swedish Biometric Forum will take place on January 26, 2018 at Halmstad University, Kristian IV:s väg 3, 30118 Halmstad, Sweden

The meeting is hosted by Halmstad University, in cooperation with European Organization for Biometrics (EAB).

The agenda includes the following presentations:
- Prof. Christoph Busch (Head of the Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory, NTNU, Norway): Biometrics and Presentation Attack Detection
- Diane Friberg (IDEMIA): Self-service biometric enrolment and biometric authentication, concrete experience in Nederlands and UK with Idemia Secure Identity
- Lena Klasén (Director, Swedish National Forensic Centre): Overview of Swedish National Forensic Centre activities
- Mattias Wecksten, Olga Torstensson (Halmstad University): IT-Forensics Education at Halmstad University
- Patrick Bours (Department of Information Security and Communication Technology, NTNU Norway): Chatroom Security – person behaviour from keystroke dynamics soft biometrics and from semantics
- Eric Setterberg (Fingerprint Cards AB): Overview of Fingerprint Cards AB activities in biometrics
