Fingerprint device and technology vendor Green Bit has announced the preview of their new 4-4-2 mobile TFT biometric scanner MiScan50 at Connect ID 2018.

Green Bit has said the MiScan50 will be the forerunner of the new family MiScan based on TFT technology, that will see soon other models including two fingers.

The MiScan50 features the TFT based sensor and is supported by Green Bit’s free universal MultiScan SDK compatible with all their scanner products, that operate on Microsoft Windows, Linux Ubuntu and Fedora distributions.

The MiScan50 includes a capture surface area of 3.2"*2.0“and is FAP 50 certifiable, it offers a lightweight and small footprint measuring only 15.5 mm thick. The MiScan50 sensor is therefore, suitable for mobile applications where minimal size, weight and power are critical, an OEM version will also be available and suitable for embedding into virtually any device including even small hand-held devices.

The MiScan50 meets the needs for both enrolment and verification applications common in international standards-based mobile government and financial services programs.

Sergio Rainero COO of Green Bit stated, “The MiScan50 is an ultra-low profile, lightweight and small form factor mobile scanner. The market approached us with the significant challenge of developing a much smaller mobile version solution offering to that of our popular optical scanners to be used for mobile type applications. Given the trust and faith that the market has in us based on our reliable optical scanner products which are supported by our sophisticated MultiScan SDK, our Green Bit engineers worked hard in an effort to bring to the market a unique and small mobile solution to include that same high- class level seen in the Green Bit optical scanners".

Green Bit will be exhibiting at connect:ID – 30 April - 2 May 2018 in Washington DC. connect:ID is an innovative international conference and a free global exhibition that together focus on all aspects of identity technologies and the opportunities for their management in both the physical and digital worlds.
