Precise Biometrics reports sales dip

Swedish fingerprint sensor and software firm Precise Biometrics saw sales fall 7.1% in the last quarter, according to figures released yesterday.

The operating loss for the last quarter totaled SEK 5.3 million (USD576,000). Net sales for the period were SEK 36.9 million.

However, the firm also noted progress in the period on both in-glass sensors and biometric credit cards.

The Huawei Honor 10 was launched, in which Precise BioMatch Mobile has been implemented with a Qualcomm ultrasound sensor beneath the glass.

The firm also deepened collaboration with NXP and Kona-i, two prominent actors in the field of smart cards who supply payment cards to banks.

It also Introduced Precise BioMatch Card, a powerful algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition in smart cards.
